JULIEN HELLO, KINTSUGI ARTISAN

Discover the art of Kintsugi — by Julien Salut
Traditional catering, philosophy of resilience and upcoming opening of a tasting & workshop space in Nice.
What is Kintsugi?
Repairing the ceramic with a natural lacquer ( urushi ) and then a metallic powder—traditionally gold—revealing the scar instead of hiding it. A dialogue between imperfect beauty and the art of tea.
Approach & know-how
Japanese techniques, preparation of lacquers, filling, successive sanding, application of gold/silver, manual finishing. A sublime piece, ready for a new aesthetic and usage chapter.
