Sleep shouldn’t be a struggle. I designed this Bedtime infusion as a true decompression zone. The floral blend of chamomile and lavender calms the mind, while lemon balm and a touch of peppermint soothe the body and digestion. A comforting cup, completely caffeine-free, to gently prepare for the night.

Timer

Aromatic plants (mint, lavender) need time to release their essential oils. Aim for 7 minutes of infusion, always covered.

CompositionThe synergy of evening plants

For this nighttime creation, I didn’t aim to make a sleep-inducing tea but rather to address the two main obstacles to sleep: mental agitation and digestive discomfort.

Calm the mind

Lemon balm, chamomile, and lavender work together. Their essential oils have been renowned for centuries to reduce nervous tension after a busy day. Orange blossoms and heather soften everything with a very cozy scent.

Soothe the body

Nothing worse than heavy digestion to ruin a night. I included 25% peppermint leaves and lemongrass. They not only bring great freshness to the mouth but also prevent the slightly bland grandmother’s tea effect.

ExpertiseRespect for essential oils

The effectiveness of an infusion lies entirely in preserving its volatile compounds (the famous essential oils of the plants).

A clean cut

  • Living material: I refuse powdered herbal teas. The mint and lemon balm leaves in this blend are cut large enough to retain their aromas until they meet your water.
  • Slow drying: A very gentle dehydration process that does not burn the leaves and preserves the vibrant colors of rose petals and lavender.

TipsThe Extraction Ritual

The perfect infusion (covered)

Heat water to 90°C (avoid boiling water which cooks the mint). Use 2.5 g of herbs per mug. Let steep for 7 minutes, but most importantly: put a lid on your cup. If you don’t cover it, the essential oils of lavender and mint evaporate into the room instead of staying in your drink.

The ideal timing

Drink this infusion 1 to 1.5 hours before going to bed. This gives the plants time to do their soothing work and especially prevents you from waking up in the middle of the night.

The art of sharing: Drinking an infusion is a moment of calm. Share this evening disconnection habit with your loved ones to help them slow down before night.
FAQFrequently Asked Questions
Mint Doesn’t mint keep you awake?

This is a very common misconception! Unlike tea, peppermint contains no stimulants. On the contrary, it is excellent for calming digestive spasms (often responsible for difficulty falling asleep) and provides great physical comfort.

Effectiveness Does it really help you fall asleep?

It’s not a medicine, but a combination of proven effects: warmth dilates blood vessels, lavender and chamomile oils have documented relaxing effects, and taking 15 minutes to pause sends a strong disconnection signal to your brain.

Consistency Can it be drunk every night?

Yes. Unlike synthetic sleeping pills, these plants cause no chemical dependency. Drinking it every night is even recommended: it creates a conditioned ritual that signals your body it’s time to wind down.

Sugar Can I add honey?

The infusion is naturally very mild. If you want to sweeten it, a hint of acacia or linden honey pairs perfectly. Avoid regular white sugar, which causes a blood sugar spike that is not conducive to sleep.
