Infusion timer

Use my interactive online timer to respect the 4-minute infusion and ensure the balance between the strength of black tea and the sweetness of pineapple.

CompositionThe tropical structure

The architecture of this blend relies on a controlled contrast between malty strength and fruity sweetness.

The full-bodied base

Black tea provides the necessary depth to support powerful aromas. It offers an amber, full-bodied liquor with a slight astringency that structures the tasting.

The fruity and floral harmony

The natural pineapple flavor sets the dominant exotic note. The rose petals, peony, and mallow flowers soften the fruity attack and visually enrich the blend.

Know-howMy selection for a sunny tea

I formulated this flavored tea to offer an exotic drink that remains authentic. The natural flavors accompany the black tea; they do not mask it.

TipsMy extraction protocol

Reference preparation

Extracting this robust base requires water at 95°C. Use 2.5 grams of blend for 250 ml of water. Infuse for 4 minutes to fully express the pineapple and the strength of the black tea.

Variations

  • Summer iced version: Prepare a concentrated infusion (5g for 200 ml, water at 95°C, 5 minutes), then pour directly over ice cubes. The tropical notes will literally explode in your mouth.
  • Milky version: The black tea base handles the addition of a splash of milk (or plant-based milk) very well, which will add roundness and soften the natural acidity of the pineapple.
The art of sharing: Bora Bora iced tea is a healthy, sugar-free alternative to industrial fruit juices. Serve it with a slice of fresh pineapple at your summer gatherings.
FAQFrequently Asked Questions
Aromas Are the pineapple aromas natural?

Yes, this blend uses exclusively natural aromas extracted from the fruit to guarantee an authentic flavor, without the chemical aspect of synthetic aromas.

Energy Does this tea contain a lot of caffeine?

The black tea base provides a high caffeine level (about 50 mg per cup), making it an excellent stimulating drink for the morning or early afternoon. It is recommended to avoid it in the evening.

Sugar Is this blend sweetened?

No sugar is added. The impression of sweetness comes solely from the natural pineapple aroma and floral petals. The liquor remains completely calorie-free.

Re-infusion Can it be re-infused multiple times?

For a flavored blend, the first infusion concentrates almost all the natural aromas (pineapple). A second infusion will mainly reveal the black tea base, without the initial fruity brightness.
