CompositionThe structure of the five teas

The uniqueness of this blend lies in combining tea families with different oxidation levels, creating a unique mouthfeel.

The vegetal and floral harmony

Green tea (46%) brings freshness. Jasmine (23%) establishes floral elegance. Oolong (12%) provides a semi-oxidized depth, while white tea (4%) adds delicacy. This balance ensures the tea is never flat.

Superfruits and flowers

Mango brings the tropical note. Goji berries (recognized in traditional medicine) add a slight sweetness. Rose petals and safflower visually enhance the blend while reinforcing the floral bouquet.

ExpertiseMy selection for a complex tea

I formulated this blend to prove that a flavored tea can be highly sophisticated technically by mixing several terroirs and botanical families.

TipsMy extraction protocol

Reference preparation

Extracting delicate teas (green and white) requires water at a maximum of 80°C. Use 2.5 grams of blend for 250 ml of water. Steep for 2 to 3 minutes. Water that is too hot would burn the leaves and develop bitterness that would mask the sweetness of the mango.

Variations

  • Gentle re-infusion: Quality teas can withstand a second infusion. Add water at 80°C and steep for 3 to 4 minutes for a more vegetal liquor.
  • Cold infusion: Place 10g of the blend in 1L of cold water in the refrigerator for 8 hours. Jasmine and mango will express themselves with absolute freshness.
The art of sharing: This tea is visually stunning. Serve it in a glass teapot to allow your guests to admire the colors of the rose and safflower petals.
FAQFrequently Asked Questions
Blend Why 5 different types of tea?

This combination creates a unique complexity on the palate. Green tea provides freshness, jasmine the fragrance, oolong the depth, and white tea the subtlety. None dominates; they complement each other.

Temperature Why not exceed 80°C?

Green and white teas are not (or only slightly) oxidized. Boiling water would burn the tender leaves, extracting too many tannins and destroying the floral subtlety of jasmine.

Energy Does this blend contain a lot of caffeine?

The content is low to moderate (20-25 mg). Green and white teas naturally contain less caffeine than black tea. It is a soothing drink that can be enjoyed in the afternoon.

Goji What do goji berries bring?

Considered a superfood in Asia, they add a delicate natural sweetness to the tea that perfectly complements the mango, while enriching the infusion with antioxidants.
