CompositionThe alliance of plant and fruit

The balance of the Royal tea rests on a base of unoxidized Chinese Sencha, selected for its aromatic clarity that enhances the fruity additions.

The Sencha foundation

Sencha green tea (88%) provides a light herbal structure. Its quick heat treatment locks in the green notes and preserves a high content of antioxidant catechins, offering a healthy and refreshing base.

The exotic and floral harmony

The pieces of papaya (5%) release a sweet softness from the first seconds. The rose and peony petals perfect the blend with a powdery floral note, creating a complex cup without being overwhelming.

ExpertiseMy selection for a balanced tea

I formulated this blend to offer an alternative to fruity teas that are often too artificial. Here, the green tea keeps its full place and interacts with the fruit.

TipsMy extraction protocol

Reference preparation

Extracting a Sencha requires tempered water, ideally at 75°C. Use 2.5 grams of blend for 250 ml of water. Infuse exactly 2 minutes. Water that is too hot will extract tannins too quickly and mask the sweetness of the papaya.

Variations

  • Tropical Iced Tea: Cold brew (10g per 1L in the refrigerator for 6 hours). The papaya will express itself with incredible roundness, without any bitterness.
  • Smoother infusion: If you find the Sencha too strong, reduce the infusion to 90 seconds. You will then favor the peony flower notes.
The art of sharing: Serve this Royal tea during a brunch. Its colorful profile and exotic fruit notes are universally pleasing and pair very well with fresh fruit salads.
FAQFrequently Asked Questions
Taste Is it a very sweet tea?

The candied papaya adds natural sweetness and a rounded texture, but the liquor remains that of a tea. There is no "syrup" sensation. It is a controlled and factual sweetness.

Preparation Can I use boiling water?

No, water at 100°C would burn the Sencha leaves and destroy the delicate aromas of the rose petals. Respect 75°C to enjoy the full complexity of the blend.

Sleep Does it contain a lot of theine?

It contains about 30 mg of caffeine, which is moderate. It provides stable alertness without the caffeine spike of coffee. For very sensitive people, avoid consuming it after 5 p.m.

Re-infusion Can it be re-infused?

Yes, a second infusion of 2 minutes 30 seconds is possible. The taste will be more vegetal and less marked by papaya, but will remain very pleasant.
