“We do not hide the fracture — we highlight it with gold. Imperfection becomes the most beautiful part of the object.”

What awaits you

An immersive and meditative experience

Presentation & philosophy

  • Symbolism: the philosophy of imperfection (wabi-sabi) and the beauty of scars.
  • Practice: re-gluing with Urushi lacquer using the traditional method, step by step.
  • Sublimation: flaws revealed with gold, silver, or substitute powder.
  • The ritual of patience: Urushi requires drying times — slowness is part of the art.

Organization & materials

  • Duration: 5 days (excluding weekends), dates subject to availability.
  • Group: maximum 3 participants — almost private guidance.
  • Audience: open to all, no prerequisites.
  • Location: workshop, at home, or at a company (team-building, private event).
  • Your object: bring your own (broken or to be broken) or choose one on site.
  • Included: materials, 24K gold (food-grade on request), and a 160-page booklet.

For whom

A rare discipline, finally accessible on the French Riviera

There is no permanent traditional Kintsugi workshop in the region. Whether you are a collector, a fan of Japanese art, an artisan, or you own a precious piece to restore — a family ceramic, a rare bowl, a valuable object — you will find here the expertise and authentic materials. No brass imitation: gold, Urushi, genuine Kintsugi.
