5 days of ritual and learning
Day1
Preparation
Preparation of the piece and application of mugi-urushi (2 days drying).
Day2
Filling
Cleaning, sanding, creation of rust lacquer for sealing and filling.
Day3
Colored lacquer
Application of colored lacquer, sanding and smoothing of the black lacquer (24 hours drying).
Day4
Refinement
Continuation of assembly, sanding, and smoothing, according to the progress of the piece.
Day5
Gold
Application of red lacquer (nuri) and final application of gold / silver / substitute powder.
