I composed I'm Beautiful from three green teas chosen for their freshness — Sencha and Gunpowder from China, Putharjhora from India — then dressed them with lemongrass and amaranth flowers. The result heads straight for notes of lemon and elderflower: a vivid, bright cup that drinks just as well hot or iced.

Brewing timer

Green tea bruises fast: 2 to 3 minutes is enough to keep all the lemon's freshness without drawing out bitterness.

CompositionThree green teas, lemongrass and amaranth flowers

The base is a blend of Sencha and Gunpowder, two green teas from China, combined with a green tea from Putharjhora, a garden in India. This triple origin gives body to the liquor even before flavouring.

Lemongrass and amaranth

Lemongrass brings an immediate herbaceous freshness, while the small amaranth flowers dot the blend with red touches and a light floral note. The natural lemon and elderflower flavouring then rounds everything out without masking it.

Know-howA blend designed for freshness

I was looking for a flavoured green tea that doesn't run out of steam after a few infusions: the triple green tea base holds the structure, while the lemon and elderflower bring the aromatic lift. It's a blend I enjoy just as much in a hot cup in the morning as in an iced jug in the afternoon.

Who is it for?

  • To discover: the green tea drinker looking for a fresh, easy-to-love entry point.
  • For the enthusiast: those who want to vary their daily sencha with a touch of citrus.
  • For summer: the iced tea lover looking for a vivid, fragrant base.

TipsMy brewing protocol

Hot cup

I recommend 3 to 4g for 250ml of water at 75-80°C, steeped for 2 to 3 minutes. Beyond that, the green tea's bitterness takes over from the lemon.

Iced version

Steep a double dose (6-8g) in a little hot water, let it cool, then top up with cold water and ice cubes. The elderflower and lemon gain even more clarity.

The art of serving: I like to serve it in a jug with a few slices of fresh lemon, to extend the citrus note without adding sugar.
FAQFrequently Asked Questions
Elderflower Where does the elderflower taste come from?

It comes from the natural flavouring added to the blend, combined with the small amaranth flowers that bring their own floral, colourful touch.

Organic Is this tea certified organic?

No, this blend is not certified organic. I offer it for its aromatic profile, with natural flavouring and no synthetic additives.

Iced Can I prepare it as iced tea?

Yes, it's actually one of my favourite ways to enjoy it. Double the leaf dose, steep briefly, then dilute with cold water and ice cubes.

Caffeine Does it contain a lot of caffeine?

The green tea base brings moderate caffeine, gentler than coffee but enough to accompany an active day.
