IngredientsThe citrus and organic structure

The balance of this blend rests on a base of unoxidized Chinese Sencha, selected for its herbaceous neutrality that enhances the citrus.

The Sencha base

Sencha green tea (83%) is rich in polyphenols. Its quick processing after harvest locks in the vegetal notes, offering a light structure capable of carrying the lemon’s sharpness without overwhelming the palate.

The lemon and lemongrass pairing

The real lemon peels (6%) bring a sharp acidity and revitalizing essential oils. The lemongrass completes this ensemble with a rounder, herbaceous note, while providing soothing properties for the digestive system.

ExpertiseMy selection for a detox break

I formulated this blend to offer a healthy and organic alternative to industrial flavored teas. Here, it is the raw ingredient that defines the taste.

TipsMy extraction protocol

Reference preparation

Extracting a delicate green tea requires tempered water, between 75°C and 80°C. Use 2.5 grams of blend for 250 ml of water. Infuse for 2 to 3 minutes. Water that is too hot would destroy vitamins and make the Sencha bitter.

Variations

  • Detox iced version: Infuse 10g of the blend in 1L of cold water for 6 hours in the refrigerator. Add a sprig of fresh mint for a calorie-free summer drink.
  • Digestive infusion: Drink a cup after the meal at 75°C. The antispasmodic properties of lemongrass will ease your digestive comfort.
The art of sharing: This Lemon Sencha is the ally of active mornings. Offer it to your loved ones as an alternative to coffee; its stimulating effect is more gradual and its digestibility much better.
FAQFrequently Asked Questions
Organic Why choose an organic certified tea?

Since the tea is not rinsed before infusion, pesticides remain in your cup. Organic certification guarantees cultivation without synthetic chemicals, preserving your health and soil biodiversity.

LEMONGRASSWhat role does lemongrass play?Lemony freshness, zesty

Lemongrass brings its bright lemony freshness, which extends the lemon peel notes and balances the vegetal note of Sencha. Together, they create a clear, zesty, and refreshing cup — delicious hot, and especially successful as an iced infusion in summer.

Theine Can I drink it in the evening?

It contains a moderate amount of theine. For sensitive individuals, I recommend stopping consumption after 5 p.m. to avoid disrupting sleep.

Taste Is it a very acidic tea?

The acidity is present but balanced by the vegetal notes of Sencha. It is not an "acidic" drink like pure juice, but rather a fresh and lively infusion.
